Hi everyone!
We’re back from Texas! I’ve talked with a few of you but wanted to touch base with everyone and share a little about our trip.
We traveled there with Savanah and our grandson Forrest, (we were very glad that he was able to come with us) and had a great trip. The weather cooperated and was beautiful, and we took a side trip in Moore Oklahoma to see where Bill spent part of his youth and owned his first home.
About the time we stopped for dinner Bill’s cell phone that we had forwarded our calls to rang and it was someone wanting information about the business. She had seen our information on the internet and had some questions before signing up. I was happy to answer those questions, and we hope to welcome her into the business. We had CD’s, catalogs, brochures, and samples with us as promised and happily worked our business as we enjoyed a delightful and memorable mini vacation and in fact can now welcome another new distributor to the team that received one of our lead packets that signed up while we were there! I will introduce her to all of you soon, with some other new team partners. What a business! What a life!
As I said, we stayed at John & Judy Handrahan’s new home (The Mansions) and I have to say it is appropriately named. As you drive in it looks more like a Statuesque European styled Village than an apartment community, beautifully landscaped with, among other things, one of my very favorite plants, the SAGO PALM. Everywhere the eye went was a new delight. The tennis courts, multiple pools, a private theater, billiard room, lobby and sitting area where they serve dinner on Friday nights and brunch on Sundays, an exercise room, pilates room, a STARBUCKS bar, oh my, that one had me at hello! Their home is gorgeous, and John & Judy are the perfect hosts. We had such a great time, and Savanah finally got to realize her anticipations that have been with her since Mid States, of going to visit them in their new home!
We swam in the various pools available, visited, went shopping, ate out, ate in, Judy and I relaxed and were treated to the best pedicure and massage I have had for a long time at The Mansions Spa, and the kids were treated to Judy’s Magic Cookie Jar, that seemed to be emptied daily with the demand for her delicious home made cookies only to magically fill itself up again by the next morning when the kids came downstairs. Kids would include Bill, lol, I have finally found a way to get him to eat oatmeal! Judy’s oatmeal cookies are now a new favorite of his and rest assured I have the recipe!
We had a wonderful visit with John & Judy, and the four of us spent the evening hours after the kids were in bed bouncing new ideas off each other and brainstorming future trainings, meetings, tools, ect that we can share with both of our teams, all of you, to continue to build everyone’s businesses for the future. This is always exciting for Bill and I, and sharing these ideas and discussions with leaders and friends like the Handrahans while relaxing in their home resulted in some new ideas that I think everyone will be excited about and benefit from as they come to pass.
It was scheduled that we would go to Sea World on Monday with the kids, but that will be put off for the next trip as Savanah and I had WAY too much fun swimming and stayed when all the sensible people got out of the sun. YUP, Lobsters don’t have nothin on us! And rest assured Bill won’t run out of “I told you so’s” for at least a year. We knew any further sunlight the next day was out of the question by that evening as Bill started calling me his red skinned wife, (I told him I’ve always been a colorful person!) and Savanah was miserably feeling it. She will be fine but blistered up badly and required a trip to the Dr. for some RX ointment to treat them when we returned home. Everything IS bigger in Texas, including the sunburns, so Sea World will be on the agenda next time. We instead went to Gatti Land, described as Chucky Cheese on Steroids, and had a blast! The food was very good, and the pasta was fresh. We all competed at the horse races and Savanah won a Seal and a new Teddy Bear, so did Forrest, and true to his 12 year old business mind he won enough stuffed animals to trade up to a bigger tiger. Lol Judy and I also rode the roller coasters with him, (simulators) and all this fun was done indoors and UV free!
The visit was over much too quickly and it was time to head back early Tuesday morning. Forrest and I had talked Bill into a detour side trip to Honobia Oklahoma where there have been over 30 recent BIG FOOT sightings! Lol Yup! Forrest and I were determined to try to get a picture of big foot, or something, and I had never been to that part of the state before so we were on an ADVENTURE! We found the town finally high in the Kiameechi mountains, or think we did, lol it wasn’t marked and there wasn’t much left of the town, but sure enough! We found some Big Foot tracks on a side road! Bill spotted them when Forrest and I were out of the truck looking around. They seemed to be heading West and were HUGE with a HUGE stride, and bizarre looking…..they were outlined in a fluorescent yellow color??? Lol Oh well, it was still an adventure and the mountains were beautiful if sparsely populated, so the Big Foot adventure will also continue to another trip!
I can’t say enough how much this business has enriched our lives. Having the resources to take trips like this to visit with dear friends and see new things is just a part of it. The PEOPLE, all of you, that we have met and continue to meet, as we build our dreams and realize our visions are also a part of that richness. This is part of my passion, and what makes it so natural and easy to share this opportunity with everyone that I can find a reason to smile, and say thank you to, by way of one of our candles http://www.kellene.scent-team.com/candles.php or sample, or that have expressed an interest in a home based business.

How can you NOT feel passionate about the ability to share not just a business opportunity, but a blessing, because this business, and all of you, ARE a blessing, and many of you are passing that blessing on. If you haven’t yet, then try it, it is a wonderful feeling and trust me,….it will come back to you many fold. Just LIVE the passion and the blessing that are this business and the people in it, and then,… pass it on. How simple is that? And how rich will YOUR life be? Find out, share the experience. Kellene
